This issue that tends to come up again and again is that hybrid classes can do equal or greater damage to pure classes. Its difficult to say whether or not this is fair. There isn't a real clear answer here. Pure classes argue that they should be the top dps above the hybrid classes because in theory its their only specialization. However would it really be fair to hinder the other classes? The Hybrid classes argue the difficulty of collecting and organizing two equipment sets adds extra challenge that pure classes don't understand.
I feel that its extremely unlikely that Blizzard would ever give pure classes an edge over the hybrid classes. Its in the best interest of everyone, that all players be on a level a playing field even if they are a "pure" class. Each class is unique and offers something different that you can't get from playing another class. How about we play the class that we think is fun and not worry about the dps numbers.
